European Parliament makes ESP® mandatory by Tom Denton - Tuesday, 17 March 2009, 11:51 AM Comprehensive package of measures for more road safety · ESP® to be mandatory for new passenger-car and commercial-vehicle models from November 2011, and for all new vehicles from November 2014 Best get building folks!!!!!

Would it be reasonable to presume that this requirement will be an age related aspect so that in the coming years all a kit builder will be required to do it find a car that pre-dates these regulations?
I imagine it'll be a little like the Cat / Non-Cat division, slowly people will simply take on building a car with a ESP as the components and skills required to do so will simply be available in our local "previously cherished" storage facilities (scrap yards  ). Perhaps these facilities will have better quality materials  2p. Regards, Jeff.
