I've been contacted by the publishers of this magazine to see if the Stratos Enthusiasts Club would be interested in publishing an advert inthe March 2004 issue. A half page advert would be £500 plus VAT but I don't think that it would be a good use of club funds at this point in time.

The reason for the advert request is the impending publication of a feature "on the Stratos along the lines of why the
stratos 'was the most exciting rally car of all time' to quote our editor." to quote the email I received.

I have said we will probably take a smaller advert in the club section for a couple of months and hope to offset the cost with a reciprocal advert in our newsletter, asked for permission to reprint the article in the future and also asked if we could get subscription offers for our members.

If nothing else, at least we are primed to buy the magazine in March this year!

Agreed, the cost would be very hard to justify.

However, the magazine is well recommended and besides having a feature on the Stratos next month, their current subscription offer includes a free model of the Strat in Alitalia livery (22cm long, allegedly worth £30).

Direct Debit price is £10.10 per three issues, 20% less than shop price and £10 less than a normal year's subscription.

If anyone would like to subscribe, call Haymarket on 08456 777819 and quote 024DP - you will need your bank details to subscribe.

Overseas rates are also available by calling +44 8456 777819 (which is the same number as for UK subscriptions).

Cheers all,
