This is my first message since joining. I am hoping to build a Stratos in the coming year. Have joined the club very recently after a visit to Oudenbosch/the Netherlands and a trial ride in Nico Alonzi's Group 4 car.

My question is whether anyone has installed a Ferrari 308 engine in a hawk HF and whether the unit from the Lancia Thema 8-32 is also suitable?

Many thanks

Welcome to the club.

There are several cars with the Ferrari 308 units. Both the 2 and 4 valve versions have been used successfully. One nice thing about this engine (besides that it's a Ferrari) is that it really looks right in the car - particularly the diff & transfer case. I'm sure the owners of these cars will post soon with more info.

PS. Seems like there are some pictures of Colin Artus' car in the gallery: http://www.stratossupersite.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=151&papass=&sort=1&thecat=500
