Unfortunately my screen got broken whilst in storage (in the loft!) it maybe covered on the house insurance.
I’ve had a look on the forum, but can anyone confirm that the screens that Omicron supply will fit the HF2000 or should I get one from Hawk? It will need to be E-marked for the SVA.

There's a company in Switzerland that makes exact copies of the original screen. If you're interested I could investigate and provide contacts and pricing.

Hi Bas, I think you will probably need to go to Gerry as his are Emarked to be SVA compliant. I'm not sure about the ones Omicron stocks or if they are for the Hawk/Lancia or the CAE/Dax Kamala. Whichever way you go check the new screen in the aperture to make sure it seats squarely. Hopefully someone at Omicron will let you know! I've got to fit a new screen to my car when the paint job is done as it got cracked at Abingdon this year. Fortunately my insurance company paid out in a couple of days, in full, no excess as I'll fit it and no questions. Can't praise the broker highly enough!

Dave Sprag at MSM Insurance.
Recommended by Gerry Hawkridge they can be contacted by email at msm@msminsurance.co.uk or by phone at 01279870535. The policy may not be the cheapest quotes I've had but it's never been far out plus the one time I've needed to claim on my policy the cheque was here almost by return post.

How easy is it to remove the old one? Can the alloy window trim be removed intact, or does that need to be replaced too?

I'll let you know when I've removed it. It's something I'm looking forward to about as much as a visit to the dentists....

Hi Brent,
Exact same thing happened to me!! I got my replacment from Chris Smith (01858 880580) a couple of years ago - all E marked and SVA complient. At the time he had a few spares so might be worth a call.
Cheers,
Chris

I would be interested in the cost of the Swiss windshields and shipping.

For those of you in the States, Dennis McCann at www.allferrariparts.com might have some Stratos windshields or at least know where to find them over here.

Re Chris Smith and windscreens not aware of any windscreens ( and I see Chris regularly) supplied by him but he certainly had some double glazed REAR windscreens made up in an effort to reduce noise in the car from the engine bay.

Our screens fit original Stratoses.
We've supplied them to replicas but not everyone is forthcoming over which type they have. I'm at home and the info is at work.
We also supply Kamala with their screens.

Well I finally made it. I will now need to check where they are, if they still do them and at what price.
