Excuse my ignorance, but would this be suitable to build a new car. Are the body panels and other parts available to finish this off, or is this only useful for somebody who requires a new chassis.
regards
Pete

I think you might be able to get parts from Hennessey now. They were supposed to have started production again on the Corse, which (I believe) is an evolution of the earlier Litton / CAE car.

Greetings Pete,
Depends on how brave and committed (or should that be naive and stupid...) you are basically. I have been building a car from a pile of odd parts for the past 5 years. It would be fair to say that I started with far less vital mechanical parts than are on offer here, although I did have some of the body panels and was able to buy some of those vital parts from Hugh before CAE stopped trading.
You wouldn't be alone in having a rolling chassis and no bodywork either - currently 2 other folk I know are in the same place. The moulds are out there, the people who know how to use them are too, and Hennessey Racing is a point of contact, so it's not a lost cause by any means if you fancy a challenge.
Other parts can be fabricated if required but an Airfix kit it ain't!!

'Hennessy Racing' is no longer used as a company name - Hennessy Racing (Poole) Ltd is now dissolved at companies house, and the original company name of 'Napiersport' is being used instead.
Lionel Gooch has just run an advert in the SEC newsletter under the new name, and I guess he is the person you would want to speak to with questions on parts for the earlier Litton/Corse models. That is in addition to the relaunched Corse GTO, which is available in kit form, and the Evoluzione if a Group 5 style car takes your interest.
See www.superstratos.co.uk for contact details, or see the advertisement in the club newsletter - which is in the post right now...

Thanks for the update John.
Based on the price for the body kit from the link John posted it looks like a good starting point to me....
...but then what do I know, my car still isn't finished and is already about £8k over my original estimate...

if I remember rightly, Lee Priestland "recently" had access to the Litton / CAE body moulds (about 2 years ago?) and made all the GRP bits himself.
