I suspect that replies are more likely in this forum, so don't prove me wrong!
My 1974 Stratos (No. 308) was purchased with the seats covered, I believe in a non-original fabric. I wish to have them put back to original (or as close as possible)
They currently consist of a mustard alcantara type centre strip (original?) from top to bottom... but the rest is in biege vinyl (side bolsters and back)
Does anyone have any photos of original seat fabric + design for a Red Stratos ?
Appreciate any help

I didn't think I could help out, and with these photos it's probably still true to say that! All the same, here is the cover photo from Supercar Classics magazine, Winter 85 Quarterly issue.
This particular issue is as good as, or possibly better than, many of the other Stratos-specific publications. Not only have they got this nice collection of originals on test, but they have a great write-up on V6 engines, accompanied by really neat drawings.

The previous photo shows a few colour combinations with the beige/mustard alcantara seats, and it seems a good enough excuse to copy the picture here :p
The following photo shows a better view of the interior, although still not enough detail on the seats as I think you would want.

Final picture copied from Supercar Classics, just another front view of the car, through which the seats are at least visible...

Its interesting to note that in the interior shot you can see both types of seats; fixed back and reclining. The reclining seats were fitted to German spec cars, germany being one of the few markets where the Stratos was officially sold.

Anyone got any better photos of the Stratos interior and seat design?
I'll try looking through some of my books later, but surely some of you other forum members can do that...

Second one:
I could email the hi-res versions should you need me to.
Note the carpet is not the original (should be orange).

Many thanks for all your efforts
My Stratos has the fixed seat, not the German reclining.
Tryphons photos are just what I am after !!
Questions...
1) Fronts appear "alcantara" like or are they real suede?
2) Presume the backs are black vinyl ?
3) Is the colour original?
Mine has a mustard colour centre strip, which is different from Tryphons biege example.
Would like to know which is original (mustard or beige)
Any further comments would be appreciated.
Note: I have managed to get replacement carpets from Italy as per the (1974 poor quality) original... thanks to Omnicron

Hello,
Replies:
1- Alcantara
2- Black vinyl
3- Original colour
I think all Strati came with 1 colour seats but I might be wrong.
How much for the carpet, I'm interested too. Was it difficult to source?
Cheers,
rwagner

Thanks for the quick response
Re the price of the carpets... I do not have the invoice/receipt with me (here in Riyadh) and its been years.
I would suggest you contact Andrew Cliffe at Omicron...
andrew@omicron.uk.com
or their std email
info@omicron.uk.com
He will have the contact details and be able to arrange something for you, I suspect.
Cheers from Saudi
