Just a quick note to let evryone know about a potentially superb event on the Isle of Bute next weekend (20/21 September).

Following the recent Stella McCartney celebrity wedding, Mount Stuart House will witness the first contemporary F1 action seen in Scotland for more than 25 years with both BMW WilliamsF1 and Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda Grand Prix teams performing dramatic demonstrations runs through Mount Stuart's glorious grounds.

Rally cars will also be prominent with Alister McRae and Robbie Head competing in Sunday's exhilarating 3-Nation Rallysprint Challenge. Of particular interest to Stratos enthusiasts will be a parade of stunning Group B rally cars, including a Lancia Rallye 037 and of course a Stratos!

The world famous Russ Swift MINI Display Team will perform its amazing routine of high-speed spins, parallel parking, hand-brake turns and two-wheeling stunts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Russ and his team will arrive in Scotland fresh from promoting the British premier of the new Italian Job film in London's Leicester Square on Monday 15 September.

The 2003 Mount Stuart Motorsport Classic offers great value for money. Adult entrance costs £10 per day while under-16s are admitted for £6 and there's no charge for those under-five years-old. Special 'family tickets' at £25 are also available. For more information visit www.mountstuartclassic.com.

This event is described as a mini Goodwood, and I am looking forward to a great weekend.
