Steve Hole has done a write-up of his perspective on this year's Zolder trip, organised through Eric and Sabine of Oracle Cars.

Steve's report is at http://www.totalkitcar.com/tkc_article_404.shtml
(although this will move later to his 'archives' section, probably in one week's time).

I'll save my own write-up for inclusion in the club newsletter, although I'll have to scrounge photo's from other attendees as I didn't have my camera with me all weekend!

All I can say is that I had plenty of fun, wore my rear slicks down to the canvas on the Saturday, reverted to the Toyo's after that, had almost as fun sliding around but not going off until the rear downpipe of my exhaust sheared off an hour before the end. No major hardship, as I like to 'quit whilst ahead' on any sort of track day events, so that was forced on me by events.

Maybe I should complain? That stainless exhaust is ten years old and has never failed a noise test at any circuits, and now the bloody thing needs to be repaired!
(Only joking about the complaint). After all, it's not as if it has been stressed at all!!!

The damage is on the section of pipe just below the manifold flange and the main silencer section is still just fine, so there is plenty of life left in it yet, once the downpipe is replaced or repaired. Makes the cost of this system a bit more acceptable, I guess...

Anyway, hospitality was excellent as usual. So too was the track time, with slightly better behaviour than at some previous years.
