Alfa V6 12v

Hello all,
Does anyone know (without going outside, removing engine from its mountings and banging it down on a set of scales!!) the dry weight of the Alfa V6 12v lump in kg's??

Have you searched the archive? I'm sure this came up before. I remember looking it up to see if my engine crane was strong enough.

Mine weighed in at 550 pounds when I pulled it from the donor car, so figure about 250 kg.

And I did plunk it down on a scale to measure it.:D

That included the engine, 5 speed transmission, and all intake and exhaust manifolding. Also all fluids. Not included were the Alternator, A/C compressor, or power steering pump.

The alternator and bracket didn't weigh much. Perhaps another 5kg? Hope this helps.
