In some of the early issue of the newsletter I have seen that there have been in reproduction the typeplates of the Stratos (under the front bonnet on the right hand side with chassis number) Does anybody know whether there are still sources to get a blank one?

Many thanks, I called him and typeplates seem to be still available. Hope to get one now.
Thanks again,

I got one at Abingdon, they were about £10, and have no number engraved / embossed on them.

I got mine now from Graham Bates (thanks again for the hint) and it looks identical to the one in the previous reply, but I have difficulty to place it in the place where it belongs to. Either the space available in a Hawk is smaller as in a original car or the type plate is bigger. I assume the Hawk is different in that angle. Did anybody of you have a similar surprise?
Many thanks, Andreas

Hi Andreas, the plates are the same size as the original but the area under the winscreens differs on the Hawk. There is no vertical bulkhead where Gerry put one to support the bottom of the windscreen, it's set back further on the real Stratos which allows bigger ledges and easier access to the wiper assembly. I'm sure there is a photo of a bare monocoque in the Stratos Super Profile book which shows it clearly!

Hi Guy, I believe to remember that you told me you have an original chassisplate as well. Where did you place it? Many thanks, Andreas

Framed it and nailed it to the wall in my hall! Couldn't bring myself to put it on the car! I thought someone might see it and assume the car was a genuine one and I've never tried to say it's anything other than a replica!

Hi Guy, never thought about that destination....but the idea is not bad. In the meantime (until final conclusion) I placed it on top of the interior bulkhead light in the center between the two seats.
