a burst of enthusiastic car building! My doorbars from Hawk were waiting for me - look good. They were made on a chassis that Hawk were making (or their fabricator was making) on their jig. Gerry said he had three chassis to build, one being Lyndon's. Anybody out there know of, or admit to being, the others? Good to know there's a continuing demand.

Still waiting for Poweralfa to produce a waterpump for me.

Most decent motor factors should have a water pump for an Alfa V6. I got mine from my local factor. I think it cost about £45 during the week before Abingdon.

I'll admit to having my name on one of the three chassis in production.

I've asked for door bars on mine. Had some huge shunts in the past and feel better with more metal around me.

Just done a total re-build on Alfa V6 engine and gearbox as the donor for the kit.

Put back into the 164 yesterday and fired up last night. No major hiccups, but a loud ticking noise from the top end.

Expansion bottle has developed a crack and needs replaced... If that's the worst that happens I'll be very happy... Great engine.
