Hello,
I had a first go in the car and what a thrill it was. I've had the opportunity to drive race cars and car much more powerful than the Stratos but I have to admit I was impressed and surprised.
The engine is so loud you can hear nothing else. All the controls, with the exception of the steering, demand effort to be operated, gear changes require concentration and heel-and-toe is imperative to downshift. Exterior vision is extremely limited, gosing the gas pedal is very difficult as its is somewhat on-off at the beginning of its course. BUT WHAT A THRILL!!!
A few questions:
I find the lighting a bit weak is this normal?
What's the use of the small switch between the seats? It has 3 positions.
What's the use of the rightmost switch on the dash? It has 3 dots on it.
As I have no information from the previous owner (he's in the US) is there a way to know whether the car has been converted to run on lead-free gas?
On the exhaust manifold there are small tubes blunted by screws, what are they used for?
Thanks
Tryphon
