New Brighton Rally - Come on Down

Well its about time I joined this forum and I also have something to offer.

As requested by Dave I have made plans to attend the New Brighton Rally on behalf of the club. I will be joined on my mission by Guy Mayers and Gary Picken, possibly both turning up in their Stratii.

I contacted the organisers last night with an offer to possibly put on a Stratos static display. Unfortunately they have advised that it is too little notice to make necessary arrangements and spoke of the need for proof of Public Liability Insurance. Unsure if the club is covered for that at present, can anyone advise?

The organisers did offer to arrange for all Stratos owners to park up together, presumably in the spectator car park.

If anyone is interested in attending what looks to be a tremendous event (have a look at the video clips www.promrally.bun.com/Promenade_Stax.html), please post a reply by 20 July so that I can make arrangements with the organisers.

Thanks very much for that. I really appreciate that you have gone to so much trouble.

I spoke to Marco Toni a few weeks ago about the possibility of including the Promenade Stages in our Stratos Challenge 2004, and he was quite enthusiastic. He hoped that in 2004 they would be able to provide a display area for the Stratos, but they would have to clear it with the council first.

I didn't want to pester them too much in the lead up to the rally, as I expect they will be busy with more important things, but intend to contact them again in the coming months to get every thing on track ready for 2004.

I'm really pleased that we'll have a Stratos representation down there. Thanks to you, and to everyone who goes along.
