Last week i drove the first meters with the Stratos, only 50 mtr forward and reverse. So far seems to work fine. Let itt heat up till the fans got on and let it cool down again.
So now its time to finish the job and prepare for SVA.

Some questions:

1 how much time is needed to make an appointment , suppose there is a waiting list?

2 are there SVA stations that have dealt a lot with the Hawk replica?

3 I can do a pre SVA check here in Holland, but would also like someone in the UK to have a look at the car before SVA and maybe help with fixing things and the SVA presentation proces. Any recomendations?
How about the Evolution workshop that has an add in our club letter?

4 I was thinking on coming over to the UK in the X mas hollidays would that be a suitable time or are the SVA stations closed then? Maybe if i get on well in the autumn holliday in October?

5 Any good advices on SVA preparation ?

Thanks

Hi Pim
My advice would be to contact Chris Smith on his numbers in the club mag. (Evo Transport ad) He will be able to advise and help get the car through SVA as he has done this many times now for customers in the UK and Europe.

Chris is based just south of Leicester and uses the Nottingham (mid England) SVA Station. This has been used by Chris and myself for Hawks and also Chris Savage and Mick Worral for Napier Corse, so they have seen getting on for 10 Stratos replicas now.

I had to wait around 2 weeks to get the test date through, at the time they were busy and I had to wait 6 weeks, but I have heard it be just a few weeks. There are also some important ways of putting information on the application form such as axle weights etc and documents you will also need to bring with you to make it easier, So I would say Chris is your best bet. - Original Kit receipt if you have it, UK Donor car registration documents if you have them.

There were a couple of articles I did in the club mag on the CD of previous articles that may help you too. Possibly around 2004/2005.

cheers
