Hi and welcome to the forum! For your information there never was an original right hand side mirror on the Stratos. Lots had them fitted later but the shape is not quite the same. The original mirrors are elongated in the top outermost corner and, if you look carefully at those on the other door they are symmetrical. The source at the time for these mirrors was the Lancia Beta, first series Coupe or HPE. The mirrors were painted black to match the passenger side.
I only have one mirror at the moment but wouldn't class it as usable! The chrome plating has failed badly and the mazak underneath is badly blistered. It would need neutralizing, filling and painting to be of any use. And the glass would have to be replaced! Badly stained. If you get really desperate and no one else offers you one come back to me, I was keeping it incase I broke the stem on one of mine!

Many thanks for the info & offer Guy
Have seen some Stratii use another option... a rounded mirror which I believe they were called "California" ?
So if I cannot find something suitable, may use that.
The Lancia Beta option may also be worth considering.

If I come across a pair of suitable mirrors, I may well be able to part with my one original LHS

The model you mentioned is the Vitaloni Californian. They were used at times on the Stratos, 037, Scorpion/Montecarlo, and probably a few other models.

They were still available new a couple of years ago, although there are apparently some production difficulties at present. I ordered a set 6 months ago, and am still waiting to receive them. They show up from time to time on E-bay, but usually end up selling for over $100 per set. New, they were about half that.

If you find anyplace that has some in stock, please let me know.

Thanks,

Demon tweeks still sell Vitaloni Californian's, about £25 each I think...

Jeff,

I tried that eurospares link you attached. First place I've checked that actually had them in stock! Even with shipping to the USA, they ended up being under £24 each.

Thanks:D
