I've been to see Graham this evening, regarding the heater sliders.
He has 5 left which I have arranged a group buy price of £275 or £55 each.
I will sort Graham out with the money and then people can sort it out with me.
I'm not making anything out of this, Graham is very local to me, so it makes sense to do it this way. I am just looking to cover postage and packaging so that will need adding to the £55, but its light and I would say it'll fit in an A5 Jiffy bag.
I will post up pictures of the unit tomorrow, basically because I've not learnt how to shrink pictures, on a Mac, to an uploadable size for the forum. I'll do it from work tomorrow.
Takers so far:
Matt (Of No VAT) :D
Dave (Kolynos - His idea originally to do a group buy)
Bob
Struan
Scott
I know there are others...so shout now for the final 1!!
I have told Graham that I'd square him up next Monday so that will give us time to get things organised at this end.

If you could mark me down I'd be intrested if I could find out which heater is compatable. I think mine has a push/pull type heater adjuster?.
Cheers

Here is the picture of one of Grahams units, in untrimmed state.
The hole at the bottom is for access to the mechanism, presumably for adjustment.
The one in the picture has the knob just pushed on, these will need to be glued on for final fitting. The example in the picture has a couple of extra holes. I was planning on having that one unless someone is getting the original style knob elsewhere

Looking at the pictures am I right in thinking it effectively would push/pull on the actual heater itself?.

Bob,
The lever operates on a sleeved cable, on the fixed arm of the unit you can see the sleeve clamp. (Heater1) Theres a small screw to tighten down on the sleeve, you fix the actual inner cable on the lever arm (the small bolt).

Hi Matt, I think that'll work with what I've got, put me down for one and I'll pick it up from you at an event sometime - not in any rush. PM me your address and I'll send a cheque.

Scott pipped you I'm afraid Tim.

Very poor quality photo of back of heater lever with cable attached. (Digital camera died, and not enough light for phone.)
The aluminium strip mountings are my additions - Graham's moulding as supplied to me has no flanges for mounting.

Thanks for that Chris, get the idea now. Think the heater in mine shoud be fine, sure it wont make it more efficient though!.

Hi Guys
I dont know if you have all received your heater control bits yet, but could some one tell me the approx dimensions of the black knob.
I am just after the diameter and thickness in approximate mm's as I am going to have a go at making one this weekend.
I presume the knob is just slotted and then glued onto the lever, can someone confirm?
Here is a picture of one but detail is so poor it is hard to recognise what it is.
Thanks
Steve

Steve,
Dimensions are 15mm diameter and 5mm thick.
You are correct there is a small hole in the knob which pushes onto the lever and Graham recommended glueing this in place.
Hope that helps

Hi Matt
Thanks for that, the dimensions are a lot smaller than what I had thought.
Cheers
