Or in my case....... not !

I had to laugh today while building up the front brakes on the car, the hub conversion is all completed, front suspension and overhauled steering rebuilt, so it was time to fit the disks and mount the 164 brake calipers.

But what's this??? - the darn disks don't fit, they seem too big. :(

So, I take the Apex part number and off I go to do some checking on that there interweb thingy.

First port of call is the Apec website, there I find that the Integrale Evo disks I have are in fact never going to fit and differ from the Alfa 164 fronts. So I check out the Stratos Forum for a bit of cross checking and found that someone had an identical problem when converting their Beta brakes to Alfa 164's as part of the 5 stud hub conversion.

Yep - that person was me! :o

I was right in thinking that I purchased and fitted Evo front disks to my previous Hawk, but I had forgotten that they would not fit and had to be swapped for proper Alfa 164 disks.

D'OH !

I'll get me coat...

Would appear to be a classic case of post crash stress disorder. More than likely brought on by your earlier incident. I'd blame the wife!!
