Hagerty (http://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/)

Previous renewal price was £428, these guys came up with £216, lower excess and European cover included. Can also be extended for track days, agreed value at £25k and I'll get an extra discount when I transfer the Spider cover to them as well.

As with any insurance yo only find out how good they are if you need to claim. I just hope they make a fortune out of me over the coming years!

Just had a quote - not competitive if the car is not garaged overnight.

However it would have been around half that, £150 or so, if it had been garaged. Asked about the model: HF2000 but not the engine capacity, power or type so I'm assuming that this is not particularly important. Makes sense really.

Haven't checked on the fine print like windscreen, uninsured loss etc., etc but looks promising for when I've moved next year. Very helpful on the phone, so I'll be back (as they say).

Well done Guy!. Mines due shortly, gave these chaps a call, helpful, informed and much better than the Footman/Flux quotes I usually get. Windscreen cover included, £60 excess if it needs a new one and chips scratches etc are free. Needs 3 shots of car and one of garage to confirm policy.

Few cock ups on the policy when it came - didn't have the right registration number.... Car locked up until I get the right cover note!

As above, very easy to deal with. Upped my agreed value by £5k and it was still £50 less than my existing policy.

Track /(stage :) ) day cover is very straight forward. It costs 10% of the annual policy price - per day of cover, with an excess for the day of 10% of the agreed value. Sounds good to me

Great Rob! They sorted the errors on my policy straight away, I sent off the pictures of my car and had confirmation back of the agreed value. Easy to deal with, just hope we never have to experience thier claims procedures!

Many thanks Guy.

Have been with Backford Bloor for 4 years, just changed to Hagerty today.

Premium was £244 for an agreed value of 24k, 3,000 miles and £150 excess with £60 windscreen cover.

This saved me £80 :D

Just need 6 pix, which could be a problem as the car is in bits.

Cheers

Good idea Chris, but I only have 2 bits in garage right now.
Engine, and rear bodywork is in garage, with rest of car elsewhere.

They said i can send old pix for now and new pix when back on road.
