Found this image on Pim's website.
Is this correct part - and is only source the Alfa Montreal ?
What parts are supplied in the kit, and what parts for the mechanism do you have to source from a donor ? I mean to having seen this part from a Lancia or a Fiat ?

This part is from a Fiat Dino Coupe, it's part of the front window opening mechanism, the little window infront of the drop glass. It should come with a plastic wheel that it sits inside. Gerry just remade the wheel in ally for his window slider kit. Pims has modified this ally part so he can fit the piece you show in your post above. Try emailing Pims as he may have copies of the photos I sent him of the parts, if not, I'll see if I still have them at home!

Hi,
Ok - I'll check with him - but you can just e-mail them to me directly if you find them.
Ok - so that means that the kit is complete from Hawk ? (as regarding to the window mechanism being fully functional)
And that the modification you mention is more of something optional, if you want it to look more authentic ?

I've seen them on Dino Coupe rear side windows too Guy.
Montreals do have them, but they are much rarer.

I don't think Hawk have ever offered a facility to fit these, but customers have found their own way of fitted them. Having said that, I notice that the Hawk Stradale demonstrator has them fitted.
Normally the kit builder would just use the round plain black window knurled knob that can be bought from Hawk. (no chrome parts)

With these - do you mean the chrome knobs from a Montreal ?
And if I understand you correctly - the kit comes with a complete mechanism that allows you to fit the window, and to operate it properly. But then with a black knob instead of chrome dito?

Yes, that's correct.
Im not sure the kit price includes the black window knobs, mechanisms and arc shaped door sliders?

Yes.
The donor would normally be a Fiat Dino Coupe though, not the rarer Montreal.

Thanks for the photo Pimms.
The window slider kit Gerry has is on his options list and isn't part of the standard kit. The kit consists of the slider plate that fixes to the inner door skin, a large hollow alloy bolt and nut to fix to the window through which passes a stud with a circlip fitting. There is a further threaded component with shoulders that comes part way through the inner skin and slider plate and finally the knurled knob to lock the window in place. The one in Gerrys kit is dimensionally the same as the original.
The one Pims has shown is fitted to Gerrys red stradale demonstrator but it took a fair bit of work to make it fit I beleive. The chrome part isn't threaded but splined and is held in place with a central screw....
If you're desperate to go the route Pims has gone I may be able to supply you with all the Dino bits, I'll have to check what spares I have, it's something I've been meaning to do to my car for years....
