Are there any restrictions/ rules, which i should keep in mind regarding the mounting of the seats for SVA?? I do have a manual but cant really understand what they mean :confused: I read something of 4mm plates ?? So do i have to strengthen the aloy floor panel :confused:

The SVA book is very vague. Mine mentions nothing regarding thickness of spreader plates etc. It does though make a number of references to a non-metallic floor (not a problem in our case) so assume they are more concerned about anchorage to these types of floors.

It looks like it down to interpretation. Assume if you can get the mounting on to the strengthening plates Gerry has added you should be OK. Probably worth adding a little extra underneath to show your interest in the matter.

The British Motorsports regulations for seat mountings say at least 4 mountings with bolts of at least 8mm diameter. There must be plates of at least 40 square centimeters on each side of the shell/chassis that the bolts mount on to. These plates must be a minimum of 3mm steel or 5mm alloy materials.
