Hawk stratos replica wanted. Seriously.

After recent changes in my life, detached of having investigated thoroughly about the possibilities to drive a car like this in my country and slightly convinced about converting it in a LHD car.

An indispensable condition: must be previously registered in UK or other UE country, it is the only way to register it in Spain.

I pay according to state and technic caracateristics. Abstain impossible high prices dreamers.

If anyone is interested can sent private message or e-mail to jcf@acb.com

thanks

Don't want offend anybody when I say "high price dreamers", but there is someone in Italy who asks 100.000 € for an Alfa 3.0 powered car.

Hawks are difficult to convert from RHD to LHD as the chassis is assymetrical - (at least they were - unless anyone has any more up to date info)

You are correct there Roger. Would take some major fabrication to convert properly!!

Hi Roger,

Is it not just the steering column and the pedal box to convert??

I have a LHD straight from Hawk and my impression is that the centre spine is more to the left so it leaves less room on the drivers side, still enough room for the drivers seat to be center to the steering wheel.
But i could be wrong, will do some measure ments this weekend!

My LHD Hawk definitely has the center spine offset to the right, but I'd need to measure it to give you the exact figure. The footbox is still quite narrow, so switching a RHD car to LHD will yield an even more constricted space for the pedals.

Pim - I did notice that the fiberglass cover for the spine , and the handbrake mounting plate, have an offset to the left that crowds the driver's seat. Because of this, I think the two seats in my car would be positioned about the same distance from the centerline - but I'd need to check.

Measured up the center spine in my LHD car on the left it is56 cm from the door chassis and on the right it is 54 cm. Not that much of a difference?
