and not cheap, but how easy is it to get the bits? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lancia-Stratos-Full-Door-Lock-Kit_W0QQitemZ230224848707QQihZ013QQcategoryZ31352Q QrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQ cmdZViewItem)

Plus you get the outer door handles, body panel release levers (probably with a matching set of keys) headlamp motor, headlamp mounts, a couple of overcentre catches, and anything else that the X19 can donate. Trouble is there is the hassle of collecting, storing and dismantling then disposing of the remains..... I think I'd just wait for one to pop onto Ebay locally before I paid that much for a few bits!

I used the SirusUK guys to get the x/19 locks etc for my next Start - the parts were top quality. Considering they we s/hand.

If you don't have the time/space to buy and dismantle an X/19 then I would recommend them - problem with buying a complete car is the locks may/may not be good.... then your back to square one.

The parts I bought had been throughly cleaned and fully checked for completeness and operation. Yes, parts are not cheap, but then when you buy them you know that its all 100% spot on.

I used to have a business dismantling Integrales.. people seem to forget that it also takes time to remove the parts carefully so they are not damaged.

And its not like you can buy these parts new is it?

It does say it includes internal handles - I wonder if they mean the correct Urraco/Stratos ones?

I'm assuming some variant of X1/9 handle? If you look at the photo, they have an additional mechanism with a knurled post on it. Looks like the sort of thing that would mate to a door handle that rotates through a vertical arc.

They will be the handle for the Fiat X/19 - I was offered them with my bits when I bought my set from them, but I already had door handles etc.

Just received my door catch set from SirusUK this morning and must say it's a lot easier than waiting for a suitable donor then disposing of it etc well worth the money !

I did not order any interior or exterior handles I already have the outside ones but the inside ones they supply are X19 pull down type (the mechanism with knurled post that rotates through an arc) so I paid less than for a full kit.
