Hi all,

Group 4 quiz for you.

After seeing the wide arch cars at Abingdon, I am thinking about fitting the parts to my Allora.

The questions are;

1. Do the Hawk arches fit the Allora? Im sure they will need modification, but how much.

2. I have 3 piece coffin spoke wheels (Image). I know I can buy wider outer rims but does this strain the Beta hub too much.

3. What size rear tyres are used.

4. My garage is a standard single up and over type door. Will it fit through.

Any help or ideas appreciated.

Tom Ransom.

Tom,
To be honest I don't know if the Hawk arches will fit the Allora, though my guess is it should not be too much of a problem as there is bound to be a bit of shaping and filling involved in fitting any arch.
Please be aware though that arches to fit the Allora/Corse will be available fairly soon I would hope through the relaunched Corse project. To enquire try e-mailing Lionel Gooch through the Hennesy racing link on the links page.

Hi Tom

I have a Gp4 Hawk in my single garage (but they are the rounded type of arch) Hawk quotes the width to be 75". It is tight but will go!!

PS Any luck with the dash vents?

Cheers Brent.

Tom,
If by chance you are looking for the group 4 round arch, I have a new rear section (unpainted) from a Hawk which I would love to swap for a "Stradale" type body. The group 4 body is too wide for me !!

Anytime now my car will return from exile - and then I'll have to reverse into the garage and up onto a ramp!!

Thanks everyone,

Lionel Gooch has emailed me back and can supply all the bits.

Dont really want to swop my whole rear end so thanks for the offer anyway.

This looks like it will be quite a lot of work so planning to do it winter time, dont really want the car off the road this summer.

Thanks,

Tom Ransom.

Have you seen Lotus elise vents?
the old type have the wider concave edge and the new elise has a small round edge. I ordered some from the local Lotus dealer for about £10 each.

cheers

I had noticed these vents, I think Hawk also supply them now.
They may be a good second option if the Ferrari vent cost to much.

These vents are from the new Elise, the original Elise had wider edges as per the earlier Ferrari ones.
