Pricey especially as the other part of it does not appear to be included.

Agreed, but the other part rarely fails. I've seen the rubbers get oilsoaked and ripped/detached a few times.

I'd say it's a fair price, I haven't seen a good second hand one yet and really can't understand why they were ever made that way.

I think just one MK2 escort mount is about 35pounds, I had thought of using two of them.

Recently had one fail on a beta with volumex engine. One of the subframe bolts had also come loose and the vx pulley was slowly eating into the chassis rail. Best I keep off those Vercor roads, it'll end in tears.

Here's the other part new at just over £8 and they have two for sale:

italpartman is Chris at Betacar who is closing down / selling up from what I hear.

So it must be a stock clearance thing....

I've got the driveshafts off my Beta engined car at the moment. I've just noticed that the offside inner joint casing has been (just) touching the top of the inner pick up bracket for the bottom rear arm (part of the chassis).

I've put a 3mm (ish) spacer between the alloy part and the steel and rubber part.
