Just had a heads up of a car coming up for sale (NOT MINE!! )

Details and pics are to follow, but what I know so far is that its Red, got a Volumex engine and has been on the road prior to the SVA rules in the early 90's. (don't know how its registered yet)
Only done around 2000 miles on rebuilt engine and was built by a dealer using mostly new parts, I'm told it's very good car and was initially having a Dino engine until it went missing just before fitting.

Not one I've seen or heard of, so just passing the info on....Just one of the many out there that have hardly been used.....

I'll post more details when I get them.

I went to look at a red Guy Croft built Volumex engined Transformer that was for sale in 1996. Reg. no. JWC 6V

'Might be that one?

Right here are some pics.
Still waiting for details of the way its been registered, however there is proof that it was on the road pre SVA. It will also come with 1 years MOT from the garage it's now residing in at Hemel Hemstead.

It was buit at a Lancia dealership by a Lancia technician in 1990-91 and I'm told there were no corners cut, but I've not seen the car so I can't comment. The car has only covered 2000 miles since built.

Asking price was £15k .......NOW £13,500. ........The rest is up to you!

Ah, it's a different car then. 'Makes you wonder how many are out there?
Spyder chassis, by the looks of it?

Not sure. hard to tell from those pics. Mine is 92 and a Saftey Devices chassis built up by Hawk. I think they may have been SD built chassis around 90-91.
The chassis number would tell you.

Nice paint :)

All the Spyders I've seen have the removable bar mount bolts as they are on this car.

Not that any of this matters a right lot?

That does look nice and knowing what I know now(after almost putting one together) would jump at the chance. Thinking back, I had to build one as all the cars that came up for sale were sold before I had even found my cheque book. This chassis looks like my spyder chasiss but you can't really tell from the pics can you? The petrol tanks are also the early alloy type.

Glad mine is hidden away, there is a lot of pressure to sell but I'll find a way round it.

This is always a good link for car registrations:

I've had an email from Alan saying that it's registered as a Lancia 2 door coupe. (That rings a bell somewhere...I think I've heard another pre SVA car rgisterd this way too)

Anyway, Alans also checked it on the MOT system and it is recognised.
It also has it's previous MOT certs and Tax disc from when it was previously on the road if needed.
