Munari & Stratos rallying in Catalonia

Sandro Munari will drive (a Stratos of course) in the Costa Brava Historic Rally 08 (stages of the WRC Catalonia Rally when it was based in Lloret de Mar).

Interesting to see that the bottom two of the pictures on the left of that web site show cars on the Boucles de Francorchamps Historic Demo, which we attended in 2005.

I remember that jump well. :)

Seems like it would make a great long weekend away, just to see and hear those cars.

Don't know about a drive down, guess a group could get a cheap flight down, hotel and hire car?

That's what I was wondering. Not even sure how much need there would be for a hire car - depends on stage layout in relation to the Lloret resort.

This event is in regularity rules, so there is a 50km/h average speed. But usually there is a special stage in Lloret streets.

In October 08 it will be interesting: the Costa Brava Rally (catalan and spanish rally championship) has been included in the FIA Historic World Rally Championship. It will be a full speed event for a historic cars.
