164 Gear ratios

Does anyone have the gear ratios to hand for the 164 3 litre 12v.

I need to know the ratio of all 5 forward gears and reverse too :confused:

I've hunted around on the web and not found anything yet so thought I'd give the forum a punt.

Tried that, but all I have is final drive ratio, but I need to know the other gears

Hi !

Accordingly my CarDisc for the 12V these are the ratios:

1st gear 1:3.500
2nd gear 1:2.176
3rd gear 1:1.518
4th gear 1:1.132
5th gear 1:0.916
Reverse 1:3.545

And for the 164S 12V:

1st gear 1:3.500
2nd gear 1:2.176
3rd gear 1:1.523
4th gear 1:1.156
5th gear 1:0.916
Reverse 1:3.545

So only 3rd and 4th differ it seems.

I have vehiclespeed at 1000 rpm and overall ratio as well if you need them.

I also have the 24V disc if you want figures for that car.

Patriq - spot on many thanks for that.

Chris - I had found the thread below but was not sure if the 1990 era gearboxes had same ratio as 1998 cars.
