They are getting pricey now !....
here's a thought ....
do you think that the replica's that are now out on the road have help rekindle the interest in the Strato's and thus pushed up the price of the originals ??
who knows

The whole vintage car market is reaching unbelievable heights, especially in the last 3 years.
Bluechip cars (rare, competition history/success, icons, ...) are way out of the reach of ordinary budgets. All cars eligible for historic races (essentially pre-85) are very sought after by amateurs. Maybe it is still time to buy cars like the 308.
Emerging markets buyers do not look at the price and are pushing prices even higher. When they will really be in that market God knows where it is going to go.
The current situation is very different to the one of the late 80s.
The restoration and parts prices are rising even faster and lead times are getting longer and longer.
I don't think replicas have anything to do with it, rather the contrary maybe.

Now, the green car on there (unless I'm very much mistaken?) is the ex Alex Moore car that was UK registered and on page 98 of the Brooklands book?
There can't be that many cars similar to that?, 24v engine etc? I noticed the dash fascia has a layout all of its own and compared the photo in the book with the photo on this website. The other clue is the dark coloured Coffin spokes.
I think I need to get out more?...
