What`s the best way to fix a lamp pod to the bonnet, bond it or make it quick release.I know its a matter of choice but looking at the way the contours of the pod follows the line the bonnet {or doesn`t, I should say}it just got me thinking...

Make it so it bolts on and can come off. My mounting flange needed a little adding to it under the more rounded sections near the front corners and a little shaping where it meets the swage lines either side of the louvre panels but hardly owt. You'll find that the slight curve of the pod from one side to the other(rear edge) isn't quite the same as the front section but just bolt it up and it pulls together very nicely.

Definately bolt it on! if you've finalised the inner wings and front panel position put the pod where you want it on the front panel and secure with bolts in each corner and one in the middle at the back. If there are any gaps between the pod and the panel then mark it's position and put parcel tape over the area the pod sits, replace the pod and fill the gap with filler, remove once cured and fill any gaps left for a nice fit. Then make a rubber gasket from a bike inner tube and glue it to the bottom of the (painted) pod. I'd also recommend welding a bit of steel to the bolt heads so that you don't have to get inside the pod to remove them and use wing nuts from below with locking washers or nylocs.
If you are considering running at a later date without the pod then countersink the mounting holes in the front panel and getting some countersunk socket head screws painted body colour to mask the holes later. If you fit a "Lancia" nose badge you'll find that it's big enough to disguise the hole for the loom to come through. Alternatively, use two of the mounting bolts for electrical supply.

Hope that helps!
