Hello everyone.

Although you don't recognise my name I have been both registered here and a member of the club for about 2 and a half years now. A fact that was pointed out to me on my first post today by Chris Richard.

The Lancia Stratos is the car that I owe both my passion and career to. Having always known about them I started to research the potential of building my own and have finally arrived at a point where I can start.

In recent months I have bought a 1994 Alfa Romeo 3-litre 24 valve Super with 5 speed manual gearbox, discussed arangements for the build, brought all costing up to date and am in contact with Hawk. I already know Gerry having visited his facility a while back which was a great experience for me seeing that this great car still lives and breathes.

My spec is a Group 4 square arch with the above mentioned engine in high gloss white with yellow coffin spoke wheels riding low with stiff suspension for street use. To a lot of you this will probably seem a strange direction, however for me it's a focus I've always had and a project that will have longevity.

I'm now in the process of sourcing parts, placing the order for the kit and reading the manual, threads and newsletters to better inform myself, and will welcome any comment, question, suggestion or offer from anyone.

I will continue to use this thread to post questions and pictures so you will see it come up from time to time.

Thanks for your time.

Matteo

Hi Matteo,

I recognise your name from sending you newsletters over the last year or so. Nice to see you have now 'surfaced' and are taking the step towards building and owning your own Stratos.
Welcome to the fold and the very best of luck with it. :)

Mick
