I recently attended the Chatsworth Rally show and after seeing both original and replica Stratos cars running my childhood interest in what I've always thought was the most beautiful looking car in the world has been re-awakended.

Having looked at both Napier and Hawk web sites the next step is to ask you, the owners/builders of these kits, more about the work involved and look at the potential pitfalls/minefiles that are out there for each model before deciding on which route to go down.

So I'll hand it over to the gurus on the forum - is there a preference between the two kits, which is the more 'authentic', which is the easier kit to build/obtain parts for, which (if any) donor vehicles are preferred - I've got a million and one questions but hopefully the experts here can 2nd guess most of them and answer the usual questions for probably the nth time.

I'm not 100% commited to this project yet but if I decide to go ahead with a build I know that it's a labour of love and long-term commitment and an understadning g/f and bank manager are required!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Rik

And if you like, I am only 20 minutes down the M1 with a completed Napier Corse.
I could even come up to Johns for you to compare the two designs side by side. :)

Let us know.

Seeing as these posts are from the 10th I just wanted to know if you have all already met up? Reason being is I'm just about to start a project and would really be interested to see finished or worked on cars. I'll start a proper thread soon but this seemed timely.

Thanks

Matteo

Welcome anyway Matteo. :)

Thanks, and yeah it probably does seem pretty strange not posting before. Been a member of the club too for as long. Everything up until now has just been pipe dreams meaning there was almost no need to post. Anyway enough thread jacking, I better give this back to moononastick...............M.

I saw that you are from London.
In fact I'm coming to London on thursday and leave sunday. 18th-21st

I don't know, but if you are meeting up and it is somewhere in London, maybe I could use the opportunity as well ?
I haven't been to London for more than 20 years I think. I have no clue as to how to get around there. But I'm a grown boy - so I guess I could figure things out.

Daytime is impossible. I'm there with my whole firm, and days are used and spent every minute. But maybe I could find some time during an evening.
