Click on reply to thread.
There is a box below the reply to thread box that is then open if you scroll down the page a bit with the title - Additional Options
Click on the box manage attachments
This opens a new box.
Click on Browse - This will allow you to find the picture file on your PC that you want to insert.
Once you have found your file click on upload and provided the file size is within limits you will be able to upload It must be no more than 500 pixels wide. So before trying to upload make sure your picture is the correct size. Most PC's have software to resize pictures in the basic setup.
Once the file id uploaded you will be allowed to close the page and hay presto the picture will be included in your reply.
If I remember correctly there must be some text in the box eg you cant add a picture with no text.
Clear as mud
If you are really stuck I will PM my Tel No and talk you through it
Cheers
Stephen

Hey !
That's starting to look like what I have in mind once I've collected all parts.
:)
What rims are those (only partly visible on the rear end) ?
And who's car is it ?
Bob

It's Chris Jarvis's car, based on the prototype.

Oh, it is? I suspected so.
I was thinking of going the prototype route myself. I really like it.
Is that the correct colour ? And the prototype was matt - wasn't it ?
Anyone know what rims where on when the photo was taken ?

I guess if this car is a replica of anything, it would be the 1972 Turin Show pre production car (page 81 Nigel Trow Stratos book), rather than the well documented (and still existing) true Prototype.
The wheels are 8x15 and 9x15 Compomotive split rims in a very uninspiring gold/brown colour. I'm planning to fit 5 stud Hawk coffin spoke wheels.
The colour is a gloss orange. I've got the name of it on a paint tin. Satin/matt finish dayglo would be ok for a show car, but not too good for normal use? The photo in the Nigel Trow book of the 72 car does have some reflections on the surface, so that car might not have been gloss, unlike the 71 car?

They are. In the latest club newsletter.
I've decided to keep the rear tyres though.

Bob,
Did you get a shot of the 'Zero' and the original Stradale on the stand?
I know it was a bit crowded most of the day.

Tryphon, I'm referring to the 72 Turin Show single wiper car.
Yes, the 1240 (71 show car) was matt.

Well boys and girls, here's just a peek at what you missed at the weekend.
Stratos Zero concept, Original Stradale (red) EVO racing car, Prototype (Chris Jarvis) and 8 others on the stand. :)
Altogether, we had 15 Stratos' at Chatsworth including 3 cars on the stage.
Not a bad turnout by anybody's standards. :D
I think we should wait to see more pictures until the NEWSLETTER shouldn't we? :p

Hi All,
as one of the accredited media guys at the event I thought I'd post a few pics for you - here's a few of Mr Perez. I will follow up with some action shots of a couple of replica's that also run the stage on day1 tomorrow. Enjoy

Nice to know I was in good company. :D
We were laughing about it inside. I was more concerned about the mashals ripping the front off than being beached on a hump about 6" high...
Must remember not to use slicks next year.....95% tarmac my Ar5e!

This is the same orange as the prototype, only gloss then ? Could you send me the colour code ? Not that I need it now - but in some time....
Why would satin not be such a good choice for normal use ? Cleaning issues ? Satin would dirt attach easier to, or why ?

I think it's just any old orange really. The dayglo colour is a little more towards red I think? Hrabi will know the exact colour because the original Prototype has just been refurbished.
Yes, satin and matt looks worse for not being kept clean, and I think it would be more difficult to clean. I'm sure dayglo paint has a short life too? I don't know why?

Make sure your front bulkhead is watertight and bring a nav along too!!

Failed on the first of those, although the front undertray will help reduce water intake (a bit). But I do have holes in the floor to let the water back out again - albeit they will let water in too :-o
As for the second point, the person I had lined up as a nav can't make it, so I'm looking out for alternative assistant/victims. Offers on a postcard...

Tim - thought I'd best let you know, I do now have a co-driver (someone who is local to me too, although that doesn't really make a difference).
Maybe some other time.
