Still having trouble with the light switch.
Wiring instructions say: one brown cable to position I on the switch, another brown cable to pos. H, one red cable to pos. U the other red cable to pos. D and last the bleu cable to pos. U on the switch. Yhat means to cable connectors on one position on the switch

Switch codes are top from left to right: H, L, V and T ( without connection )bottom from Left to right: U, I ( without connection ), D and most right no code

Do I have the right switch

Hi Pim,

This is going to be a bit vague, but here goes.

It looks like I have had the same / similiar wiring loom.

I have a hand written note on my wiring notes to say that one of the "U" connections (Red or Blue) should be to the "V" terminal on the switch.

The brown is the power coming in, the reds going to bring on the sidelights, the blue is the main bean / dipped beam.

If you get a meter and check continuity from brown (I, H terminals) to red and blue, you should see it makes to red only in first switch position (half way) and red and blue when the switch is in it's second position.

This is how I remember it.

Thus on first switch postion, the headlights pop up and the side lights come on. On the second position, the headlight main / dip beam are possible (depending on the position of the lever at the column).

Mine has worked fine like this.. Check the connections, it should make sense.

Regards

Andrew
