Greetings all,
Just me again - I have been busy rebuilding my car to a basic point where everything works, then the idea is to make it look pretty again.
I read not so long ago, in a thread that I can no longer find, about heating the perspex windows and bending them slightly to gain a better fit/seal on the doors.
Is this also done to allow a better fit of the manual window mechanism? I fitted a new set of door handles/locks and also removed the (dead) electric window motors and replaced them with the manual window assembly.
I found that the threaded stem does'nt protrude very far through the door card and hence its a bit on the tight side, when operating the window. I have to remove some of the padding inside the door card but this won't be done until the car gets its interior re-trimmed.
Any tips? Or clues on where the window thread is?
