A few comments about driving at Zolder this year:

* A lot less 'production boxes' than in the past, but the Lotus Elise and Pogo Speedster drivers did not like people passing them - they still failed though

* Porsche drivers were generally well-behaved

* Team GTM made frequent use of the pit garages for 'running repairs', but as usual kept cars going as much as possible - and always kept smiling

* Bike-engined cars have real trouble with noise tests - most got black-flagged over the weekend

* I got a warning each day for breaking the 95DB drive-by noise limit (95.1 and 95.6) so had to keep the revs and throttle down at those sensitive parts of the circuit - a second warning on any day results in a ban. Shame really, as running through to 7000rpm makes such a great sound :-)

* Had a drive of a bike-engined Sylva (thanks Lee); bit cramped for me, but great run all the same - car responds like magic

Also forgot to mention that I had some nice new 235/50x15 Toyo R888 tyres on the rear, plus the Gripper limited slip diff. The extra rear-end grip was quite amazing.

Comment from Gareth (Team GTM): "That car just shouldn't have that much rear grip" :)

Now I think I want some slightly larger front tyres (215 would be right) to get back a bit more grip at the front, and greater grip levels overall.
