I need to get my wiper to park on the left, it currently parks right. It is a Gerry supplied new assembly. Following past threads I have taken off the gearcase top and the arm, but I can't see a way to get the gear ring out it doesn't come loose with gentle persuasion from the top. Can anyone who has done this change please help. Hopefully I don't need to pull the whole assembly as everything is in final configuration for SVA on October 2nd.
Thanks in anticipation of your advice DavidM

Cir-Clip & spring washers on the underside, I think.

Hi David, I think you'll have the Lucas type if it's come from Gerry. There are 2 ways to make it park on the other side of the screen - it sounds as if you've overcome the electrical hurdle already!
Either change the side the pushrod enters the wheel box by disassembling the wheel box, turning it 180 degrees about the rod and reassembling or take the top plate off the wiper motor so that you can remove the large white plastic gearwheel. You'll see a little plastic "bridge" attached to the wheel with two lugs, you can pull this off and refit it 180 degrees round the gearwheel. Either way will cause the wiper to park on the other side.

Thanks all, fixed it, all I have to do now is put all the nice SVA friendly underdash panelling back. Just headlight alignment, brakes and emissions test at my local garage then SVA on Tuesday at Norwich, wish me luck.
