Slowly Sideways will be attending the Rallye Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen 2003, and there will be 3 Lancia Stratos taking part in the Slowly Sideways demonstration runs ahead of the main rally.

The event takes place in Austria on 2nd and 3rd May 2003 in the area between Slazburg and Linz, and is based in the town of Linz.

I have reproduced below, some details of the event as supplied by Reinhard Klein.

Rallye Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen 2003 – Details

Three weeks until the Austrian event takes place. They do have a webpage www.sperrer.at although it is mainly in German language. The official practise is on the 29th and 30th of April and we are welcome to take part. As many of the roads are public they can also be visited on Thursday to get an idea. In order to do so you need to pick up your roadbook yourself at the HQ of the event in the town hall of Kirchdorf. All the other paperwork and documentation will be give to the historics at our Zottensberg Hotel on Thursday evening. Clark of the course Franz Mikes is coming himself.

Sounds great!

Wonderful selection of cars, even if you exclude the Strat's.

Hope you have a really good time. Look forward to hearing about it afterwards. I should think you'll still be buzzing about it by the time Abingdon comes around!

Unfortunately, Robert has not been able to get the car re-registered in time, and so the trip is not going to happen.

Never mind.

Apparently, only one Stratos appeared at the event.

Some photos have been provided to me by www.illmer-racing.at and they can be viewed at http://www.stratossupersite.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=533&thumb=1

I hope to get some more photos of the event and will upload them to the website when I get them.
