David,

Carrying on from your last post in the 'Who's coming to Abingdon' thread, could I be cheecky and put Vickie down on the waiting list please? It would be a nice 'surprise' for her as she hasn't yet been in one of these machines...........:D

OK, done.

I guess I'd better start getting it more organised now!

Like you don't already have enough on your plate....

You are a star David!

I think what we will do is ask for a £5 contribution towards the CARnival charities per passenger run.

I will contact all the SPRINT competitors this evening and confirm who is willing to take passengers.

If my Hawk isn't ready in time (which I think is going to be the case) I'd like to put my name down for the experience ride - more than happy to make a donation to charity.

At this rate, it's going to be full before I've even got it organised!!!

OK, Matt, you're added to the list too.

Still places available, both AM and PM.

Let me know if you want to book a ride in a Stratos.

Can I put my name down too? Thanks

Duncan,

AM or PM?

DuncanM

PM preferably. Is there any difference in what is going to happen? And do you still have to be there for 8.45?

Afternoon course is faster. Morning course has more tight bends.

Don't need be there for 8:45 if going on PM ride.

Afternoon will suit me fine then. See you there...

David,

I realise I didn't ask - is Vickie booked on the AM or PM runs??

If there is a choice left, PM would be preferable, but I have already warned her that we might need to be there early!

Thanks

Chris

I'll put her on PM

David,

Thank you - I think I might have been optimistic trying to get us up and on the road by 7 am. Vickie is really quite increadibly tolerant of my car interests but it doesn't do to push one's luck does it :D

Thanks again

Chris

David,

I wanted to find out if there were any thrill ride slots still open. My girlfriend, Angie (who normally doesn't go in for this sort of thing) has expressed interest in going for a ride.

I have to admit that I'm a little surprised at her request, since she finds riding with me a white-knuckle experience. Maybe it's because I'm driving that way on public roads, not a closed course...

At any rate, if there are any PM openings still available, I think that's what she'd prefer.

Thanks,

Scott,

That's organised for you.

Just had the final instructions through from the CARnival organisers, and because there are more cars in the SPRINT this year (150 compared to 120 last year), they have decided to start the event earlier.

That means those who are coming for the morning rides need to be there 8:15am at the latest.

We've just lost one of the entries to the Sprint so we don't have as many cars to take people on rides.

Who is willing to have their ride on the morning?

Sorry, I can't get there in the morning. I've got to collect some stuff in London. See you in the afternoon.

Duncan,

Thanks for letting me know.
