Well where were you all today??????? There was a good turnout of Lancia's at this years Auto Italia at Stanford Hall, but no Stratos' :( . Did you all have something better to do???? Admitedly the weather forecast was rubbish (as ever) but it was good up until 4 O'Clock.

Sorry Lawrence, I was on Holiday in France for two weeks. Got back from Wales on Sunday night, then drove down to France early Monday morning.

Hope to see you at Gaydon.

Stratos in the rain is a really bad idea and miserable experience :)

Peter as a stratos owner wannabe could you elaborate on your statement please ie miserable experience (I assume 'bad idea' relates to the power to weight ratio ie it is a bit lively on the rear)

Dont they all? And they steam up, and they're twitchy. Still, wouldn't swap it for anything.
Note:
Essential piece of kit for all Stratos owners is a Shower Cap (or Bonnet de Douche of course) :D :D for the car that is, not the driver :p

Tim,
Unfortunately I won't be at Gaydon as I'm working, but I will be on the Club Lancia Sport stand at Chatsworth.

Speaking as a confirmed 'no bigger than 225 rear tyre' type, I'd guess that the 345s (or however wide they are) at the back can be a challenge in the wet.

Mine leaks a small amount at the bottom front corner of the side windows when it's really p155ing down. Otherwise it's fine. The inevitable steaming up is easily handled by the A/C.

Hi - bit late getting back on this thread. The others have pretty well covered it. Main gripe for me is lack of effective ventilation - my blower is truly pathetic and only recirculates moist air from the cabin to condense on the screen. Windows leak a bit but I will eventually sort most of that out. A/c definitely the way to go.

Car can be a bit slidy in the wet but I just take it easy. I'm on 255 tyres. Not enough power (standard beta twin cam) really to have a problem in the dry, usually  .

Not at all - just a preference! Don't forget I have the comedy offset on the rears on mine to make up for it ;)

It wasn't that bad! I just bottled it a bit - err, a lot - lot coming out of a left and going into the downhill right hander with adverse camber coming up. :o

Sorry mate - misunderstood...in which case, absolutely!! ;) Right pain to install and no doubt a constant hassle to keep working...but worth it for me.
