Sorry everybody, after getting you all excited a couple of weeks ago, I`m afraid to say that nothing is going to happen after all. But let me tell tou what it was all about anyway........
Pirelli were initially interested in putting my car in the old Pirelli livery and running the car as a promotional vehicle on rounds of the Pirelli British Rally Championship. I would have driven the car around the stages before the competing cars and had the car on display at the start and the finish.
It would have made quite a spectacle, but unfortunately the various bodies couldn`t all agree that it was a good idea and it was decided that it wasn`t what the championship was really all about and the project has finally been shelved after many weeks of waiting for the green light.
It`s very disappointing that something that I am sure would have been of real interest to spectators wasn`t taken up, but I`ve left the door open with Pirelli for the Stratos Challenge next year.
