Has anyone got a set of rear seat belts. I'm looking for the type with the buckle part on a short strap and inertia reel. For use as front inertia reel seat belts.

Or failing that, can anyone recommend some inertia reel belts that will fit a Hawk ok?

Something similar to these might do?:

You can get them in some of the aftermarket catalogues such as www.holden.co.uk I think. Or an MOT failure in a scrappy if you're sure of the provenance of the belts. Mine had IR belts when i got it. They'd been fitted on the "wrong" side, and it seemed to work easier - i.e. reel in the middle over drivers left shoulder with buckles on outside of car. Well, not the outside obviously, but sill side not transmission tunnel side!

Quickfit (http://www.quickfitsbs.co.uk/), made to order to suit you. Not as cheap as aftermarket but you'll get top quality service and exactly what you want.

Went to them for replica Britax Lifelok buckles on belts for my boy's Triumph Herald. Recommended.

Thanks for the advice, Chris and Peter.

I've got some X1/9 belts in (well, at one side so far) and they don't quite do the job somehow?

I just wondered what other people did for stock intertias? Or does everyone use full harnesses? It's just that I find full harnesses a bit of a pain for ordinary road use.

I remember fitting some Vauxhall Nova rear belts in my Opel GT and they worked out a treat. The 'floppy' rear buckles worked because the seats are right up against the centre tunnel, even more than they are on a Hawk Stratos.
