I stumbled onto this on ebay this morning and decided to give it a try. I'll let you know how it works out.

There were several others listed - most in the $1 - $20 range. Just go to the car parts section and search for '914 Blower'.

Another source of this type fan is marine bilge vent motors:

These are the same units that are being sold on ebay as 'electric turbochargers' - which I think is a really strange idea. It seems to me that these fans can't generate any boost at all because they lose efficiency like crazy when the air path is blocked. Many people claim small to marginal improvements from them though. It sounds like a scam to me - can anybody think of how/why they would or (more likely) would not improve performance?.

PS - Got my program at work up & running Friday night (Yeah!). Final count was 72,988 lines of code. (That's for one program.) Spent the weekend recovering from all the 70 hour weeks and should be back to participating in the forums and other normal activities this week.
