Men and Motors

Did anyone watch Classic Cars last night on Men and Motors (apologies to our U.S. cousins, i dont think you get such cultured channels!!), around 9.30, there was a programme about the Brooklands Run featuring one of the programme presenters in an MG, on its journey to Thruxton, the TV crew were passed by a red Stratos (or Lancia Replica as stated on the telly) which was also on the Run. Does anyone know whose it was and were any other Stratos's on the Run as well (sorry, they were not featured).

I didn`t see the programme,but I did the RAC Motorsport Classic Experience two years ago which went from Brooklands to Thruxton and various other venues. If the car was a plain red Gp4 car it was indeed mine.

I can thoroughly recommend the event, which runs annually, as it uses some great motorsport venues at a reasonable cost.

P.S. no more news yet, hopefully this week.

I did think of you at the time but i couldnt see the Martini Logo on the back. Did anyone else turn up or just yourself?. Might look at entering next year, I think John had mentioned entering before on this site.
Anyway, if it was you - you looked and sounded good!

2001 was pre-Martini.

I did post some information about this year's event, but was unable to do it as my car wasn't road legal at the time.

But I was featured on Men & Motors some time ago, for my first race in the Auto-Italia championship. Due to various issues with filming of subsequent events, they showed mine a number of times before pulling the TV coverage entirely
