I delegated that part of the organising, so that I wouldn't be blamed if it went wrong!

I plan on attending with my girlfriend Suzanne, (hopefully a room will be booked shortly) whether or not I'll be with in the Hawk ...we will have to see!

David,
I will be there, along with my girlfriend Angie, Friday night through Sunday night. I believe I e-mailed you some time back regarding the reservations.
I also noticed that you were offering rides around the sprint course. Does this mean it's OK with the event organisers? If so, do I need to bring a helmet? ;)
See you there

Scott,
We can carry passengers on the parade laps of the SPRINT on the Saturday. These will run at about 9:00am and 1:30pm. there is no need to wear a helmet on these runs.
With a bit of luck, we can hang back from the other runners, and be able to run around the course quite quickly.
We aren't able to take passengers on the main timed runs.
I am hoping that most of the competitors will agree to take a passenger on each of their parade runs, but I need to get something organised about lists for who will go on the runs. That part of the weekedn is 100% organised yet.
Your room at the hotel is already organised.

Just to confirm that I will be competing in the sprint at Abingdon, and will also be a spectator on the Sunday. No doubt nursing something of a hangover from the Saturday evening at the hotel!
I've indicated to D.W. that I will take passengers on the familiarisation runs of the sprint. All organisation of that will be in Dave's hands though.
If we all get back to the hotel in good time there may be the opportunity to do a few quick blasts around the area too, if any of the attendees want to go out as passengers on the road. This is a 'service' that some of the non-competing cars may want to join in with too. At least that way we can get more people to experience Stratos-pheric travel from inside the cars...

David,
You recently invited me to come and see you at Abingdon where you said you'd introduce me to some of the 'gang'. You remember you also said you would try and arrange a ride.
I think the £5 charity contribution is a great idea so if possible, book me a Saturday PM ride.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Cheers.

The organisers of the CARnival have altered the start time of the SPRINT due to the increased number of cars taking part this year (150 compared with 120).
This means that the first run of the SPRINt will be the familiarisation run at 08:30am on the Saturday (not 09:00am as I previously stated).
Anyone who is going on an morning Stratos run must be there at 08:15am absolute latest.
Sorry for mentioning this so close to the event, but I only found out this morning.
Maps of the venue will be on www.stratossupersite.com alter today, and a mailshot wil be going out to everyone this weekend.
