Yes, me again in need of more assistance in determining what donor car this type of headlight motor came from.

Its not an X/19 as its physically larger than those (I have one of them for comparison) and its painted green rather than the Fiats black rubberised paint.

The internal switch inside one of mine is a bit flakey - so I need to replace it and it would be easier to do a like for like rather than start messing around changing wiring etc....

TIA

I'm no X19 expert, but that looks exactly like my spare motors. I was told they'd come from an X19...

Chaps,

I have 3 different types in my bucket-o-bits, all from X 1/9s of various vintages. Only significant thing to look out for is that the output shaft size varies slightly which might cause you a problem with the lever arm.

Other than that, they are functionally identical electrically (AFAIK) so no re-wiring should be needed.

In that case - does anyone out there have a N/S "Green" headlight motor they are willing to part with? This would be the passenger side in a RHD car.

The green and black versions are definately different in thier design physically, as the motor is elbowed differently.

I'll see if I have one that looks like the photo........

.....I seem to have a pair that look remarkably similar.

Is there a part number on the one you want Matt? Last 3 digits will be either 410 or 411

Chris,

I've removed mine from the car and sadly someone has partially spray painted over the p/n area making it very difficult to read.

On the plate above the diodes it has what looks like 4H 12v A18

The p/n area looks to be 43.49.411 - does that look similar?

If you hold the motor, with the manual winder at the bottom, the output shaft points to the right and the wires should be pointing directly at you.

You can email me direct at mattnovat@btopenworld.com to sort out details if you have the correct one that your willing to part with.

Cheers

PS - I stand corrected on my statement "its not an X/19 motor" - with hindsight I should have known that Fiat in thier infinite wisdom would have 3 different types of motor to do the same thing - presumably each version has a different life expectancy (3, 6 or 12 months) or exhibits different "unexplained" quirks / characteristics before they stop working!;)
