Just got mail from Igor, saying he also has a Stratos and gave me his web adress: http://www.sarano.nl/
This is a Corse is it? Take a look at his exhaust manifold, looking complex.
There is also a link to his Donkervoort days and an interesting design he made.

Yep, This is a Litton/Corse. Not one I was aware of either.
Looks 'naked' without the spoilers.

If you click on the B/W menu circles with the front suspension it looks like he dit some modifications, using Donkervoort hubs. tHERES ALSO A VIDEO IN THE MENU WITH THE TIME TABLE

Nice Exhaust!
Later 24v engine too. Has he turned the Plenum around or is there a version of the engine with the Plenum on that side? Someone once asked me about it that saying that they thought mine should be on the opposite side, but I've only ever seen them above the 'rear' bank? ie Bulkhead side of the FWD cars.
Have I not been paying attention? :o
I'm sure Strat6v will already have one under a bench in his garage somewhere and put me right... :)

The first engine fitted was an 12V 3.0 Alfa Romeo V6. Very satisfying and a great sound (very quiet which I liked a lot). However when someone offered me a brand-new 3.0 24V engine I just couldn't resist.
This engine was a 166-prototype engine (honest!) with engine number 000003! It was saved from a destroyed pre-series 166. Together with a DTA MM-system it now produces a 230 HP at the rear wheels, which is approx 270 at the flywheel.
'Tis a neat-looking exhaust system indeed. And the explanation above may point to the different plenum location.

Neat bit of driving, albeit one spin in there - drifting a Strat :)

Can anyone post some of the other photos on the Sorano site?
I can't seem to launch many of the 'button' links, for some reason?

Ha Bobster!, you've rumbled my big surprise for number 2. :p

Got to finish number 1 tho :o

Peter, I've had all the links/photos kindly sent to me from David Jowsey.
All I could open on the website was the contact email button.
Modern wheels and tyres are'nt my cup of tea, but this 'yellow car' has been built to such a very high standard, it's tasteful in its own way?
I ought to like it without spoilers?

You ought to like it hugely without the spoilers. :)
I think it looks far better without although you do get used to seeing them with all the bits on and they can look a bit bare without as Tim has said.

I am a biased Hawk owner but I quite liked the view of the car with the hatches open. The detailing is great.
I am also curious, can anyone tell me what the black triangular pieces are just in front of the windscreen?
Thanks
Steve

Hmmmmm.
I built me CorseI without the roof thing, but with the rear spoiler. I like it better with the smooth line, but after Abingdon it always looks a bit bare for a while....but I get better. But without the rear spoiler - jury's still out.
Looking at the suspension parts, I'd say it has to be a CorseS, but why the mod, unless to make the thing loose enough to drift, possibly inducing positive camber at the front so it slides before the back comes round. Hard to say, but it looks like a real neat job. Not sure I'd trust the single aluminium tab for the steering rod all the same, esp if anyone wanted to rally rather than drift.
Happy building lads; lots to think about in the last couple of weeks; some really nice and thought-provoking contributions.
Arthur.

Those black things in front of the scuttle - if it's anything like mine, they should be rubber tool mats. Better yet magnetic, so you don't hear that worrying clatter as you drive off.......they could be vents, I suppose - but the air there is hot as hell, and I hope it never rains.
