Well, besides it being an article to sell some of their gizmos, there is a school of thought which says that ram-effect isn't so good; as the intake pressure changes at speed, then the engine might be set up more or less effectively for particular revs at certain speeds. i.e. 4000rpm in 2nd gear will not have the same air going in as at 4000rpm in 4th gear - potentially making the engine run lean.
Having said that, 'better' engine management systems might detect the different air volumes and handle both situations properly.

Dont know if there is a 'High pressure' area on the nose of a Stratos, unless you have a lamp pod fitted.
