If it's Don Pither's old car, it was sold at H&H a few years back.

The wheels the car is fitted with (in the photo) are Hawk coffin spokes. Without a doubt.

Thats right Chris,

December 2002 the car sold for £34,000. I see the guide price this time round is £90,000-£100,000.
Is this a 'trifle' optimistic or a sign of a rising market???
It will be interesting to see if it sells.

I've just realised that this ex Don Pither car is one and the same as the Keith Norris car. The one that all the close up photos are taken of in Graham Robson's Super Profile book. The chrome/polished air filter cover should have been a give away at least? I still didn't spot it. Not to be confused with the green one with no spoilers and Italian plates in the same book (and G.Robson's recent book).

Here's some pre sale photos on H&H's website:

I wonder what it will fetch this time? More than last time you'd think?

Does anyone know if this car sold and if so, was it anywhere near the "optimistic" expected price?

Yes and yes are the answers you're looking for.
Yes it did sell and it went for --wait for it--£89000  Yes, £89000

Is the market rising or was it just a case of auction fever??

Explains why the one on eBay for £124,000 didn't sell.
