Stradale door mirrors. They came out of the factory with only one door mirror, drivers side, a black domed mirror that wasn't symmetrical on the glass face. When you saw a stradale with two mirrors the one on the passenger door was a symmetrical black domed mirror identical in size and shape to the Lancia Beta door mirrors on the first series cars.
But which parts bin did the original drivers door mirror come out of?
Well, after 20 odd years wondering I finally have the answer. In this months Classic Cars there is a picture of a first series, flat bonnet Series 1 Lancia Beta HPE, left hand drive, with the non symettrical mirror nailed to the drivers door. No mirror on the right hand side. Slap a coat of black paint on it and you have a Stratos drivers door mirror.
