Ah, brings tears to your eyes! The glory years of rallying - watching the TR being taken by the Chevette (go go Pentii). Fond memories of hours spent in the forest with my arse cold welded to a rock, when a five linked rear was the way to go...lovely strats and a 6R4 in one clip, my my. We have a wonderful Rothermans replica Mk2 running round here and its the dogs...but he'll twitch when i get a strat - so there! Its gonna happen....

Only just noticed that the Tony Pond TR7 v8 that is shown several times in clip 4 of the 1979 RAC was in the New Boucles de Francorchamps rally that I did in October 2005. Just compared the number plate to my photos of the car. Sends goosebumps down my back thinking about it again :D.

I believe that the Russell Brooks Escort is at The David Sutton Museum in Daventry.
BTW - Could be good to arrange another club visit there.
